Even More Humility
Humility is the simple truth…
Talk the talk, walk the walk,
“It takes courage to be humble.
It is a virtue of truth and justice.”[1]
Justice embraces compassion,
and Humility asserts the truth…
We are what we are,
and we must do what we must do.
Justice embodies mercy,
and Humility affirms the truth…
Our legacy is compassion,
and not assets or worldly success.
Justice yields equality,
and Humility grasps the truth…
Accord loathes patriarchy,
and concord abhors hierarchy.
“All those who exalt themselves
will be humbled,
and those who humble themselves
will be exalted.”[2]

Still More Humility
Let him show his works
by a good life in the humility
that comes from wisdom.[1]
I cannot blame the poor
and deny what I am,
disregard the marginalized
and cover up what I do.
What stops me from being
a raving maniac
a blithering idiot
an unhinged lunatic?
What shows me
the kind and gentle way?
What speaks to me about
the meek and tender way?
“Humility tells us
and brings us down
the ladder to truth,
and makes us thankful”[2]

More Humility (next day repost)
“Blessed are you
when people insult you,
persecute you and lie about you
rejoice and be glad”[1]
“No matter how something cuts,
never show by an angry flash
that you have been hurt.”[2] –
trust the process
Outcomes happen
both planned and by chance,
so, never resent anything
go the way opens.
With that said, something said
contrary to the truth,
demands a quiet resistance
and a hearty correction.
“Love humiliations
and pray for them,
be disposed
to be slighted.[3]

of being well-fed and of going hungry,
of living aplenty and of being in need.”[1]

our spiritual life
Humility protects
our soul’s integrity.
“Humility is simply the truth.
accepting our bond with God.
Humility does not deny what we are
but attributes what we are to Him.”[2]
Humility fills us
with compassion,
Humility fulfills
with charity for all

we have from God:
everything lovable, attractive,
beautiful, useful, and desirable.” [3]

Disorderliness (next day repost)

Help me support truthful inclusions.
Full of disordered enticements,

Full of tangled trespassing,
